Rhonda Gibbs

Rhonda Gibbs is an instructional technology consultant at Region 18 ESC. The Education Service Center serves over 36 school districts in the area comparable to the size of the state of Indiana. She is a wonderful educator and an incredible STAR Discovery Educator.

"I am a long time educator with 20+ years in education. I also have masters in administration and supervision and a master’s degree in technology integration. At the present I am working on my PhD in school administration. One of my duties at the ESC is to teach technology integration and technology applications using Microsoft, Adobe and other software programs. Unitedstreaming has been a big bonus this year in the pursuit of teaching technology integration. Teachers have responded to this program like nothing I have ever experienced before. Unitedstreaming has made it possible for me to reach teachers that were previously un-accepting of technology integration.

The DEN has also been a wonderful resource. No matter what workshop I am teaching I always show the teachers the DEN website. There are so many resources available. Between the ideas and the lesson plans a teacher can find so many things to help them in their classroom. I try and encourage teachers to become DEN members and enjoy all the benefits of the Discovery Educator Network. I am very excited about our upcoming unitedstreaming conference in October. Teachers will have the opportunity to see the many uses of the videos, pictures and other features of unitedstreaming as well as receive ideas on how to better use the program in their classroom."
