Interactive Whiteboards

Hi,

I just recently received word that I won a grant to install a Smartboard in my classroom.  I was wondering if anyone had any good resources for ideas of lessons, templates, and instructions.

 Thanks,

From the Smart board company.  They already have ALOT already created.

Congratulations! You should download the Smart Notebook software and get started right away. The software is extremely powerful and you can get to know it even before the board arrives! Here are a couple of links you might be interested in: http://www.jabernethy.com/portfolio/smartboard.htm

Good luck!

Also, this may be obvious, but with SMART Boards, sometimes your best bet is just to play around with them.  Remember, you really can't break them!  They can do some amazing things.

Check out some of the resources I've posted on this site:

The DEN has a lot of resources you might like as well.  I will tell you that the software is amazing.  Smart Tech has some online tutorials that you can find here:

They are two minute training videos that will give you a head start.

Smartboards are the bomb!! There are lot's of sites on the internet that you can find interactive games and lessons.  I've found good "stuff" on internet4classrooms.com.  Give it a try.  If you need more websites, let me know:)  Have fun with the Smartboard.

Thanks,

I realize this is a late response but you may want to check out some blogs that deal with smartboards as well. Some of the blogs I follow are below.

Hey Chris,

Our health teacher has taken the time to share several of his best lesson plans at http://www.health-lesson-plans-teacher.com/

These are multi-sensory lessons that address a variety of topics and age levels (our students range from ages 3-21).

While many of the lessons can be presented with a computer and projector, there is a link on the side for Smartboard Lessons.  While there is only one posted there right now, keep checking back for new material.
