I too am having issues with CC but on my PC with Windows XP Pro and Media Player 11. I have downloaded both a video and its CC (smi) file. Both files are saved into the same folder (as stated to do in the "help" portion of DE Streaming). But when I run the video it does not provide the CC in the stand alone version. I can only be successful in getting CC to work with the embedded version of the video and keeping it in the smaller view. Once I expand it to the full size mode, the CC no longer appears.
Therefore, is there some issues with CC when downloaded?
I have been trying to get the CC option to work with WinMedia on my Mac. The video looks great, sound is great, but no captions. I tried downloading the smi file, enabled captions on WMplayer..still no captions. I tried with Flip4Mac and uninstalled Flip4Mac to try WMedia alone.
No luck?
CC just doesn't work on a Mac?
